Virtual voice assistants help make everyday life more comfortable and interesting. Yango has created the Yasmina assistant, which is now available not only in the app, but also on new devices.
How Yasmina works
Yango has realized the idea of an assistant who understands the local culture, traditions, and mentality of the Gulf countries. Yasmina assists users with culturally important information, such as prayer times and the Hijri calendar. The name “Yasmina” was chosen through popular vote.
She recognizes human speech using a specialized sound model and applies algorithms to give an appropriate response. For example, to play a desired song or set an alarm clock.
Where Yasmina lives
The voice assistant Yasmina is available in the Yango Play app and the new Midi and Mini Stations.
Yango Play: Yasmina continues to serve as the navigator in Yango Play’s entertainment world. The app features a vast collection of Arabic and international movies, TV series, and cartoons. It also offers an extensive music section, complete with the My Vibe algorithm, which streams songs based on users’ previous listening preferences. For any task, you can call upon Yasmina to find the perfect song or movie.
Mini Station: The Mini is Yango’s new, compact Station, ideal for small rooms and private spaces. It comes in three colours – grey, blue, and black—and has a round shape with a tactile, acoustic mesh covering. The top panel features touch-sensitive volume buttons, while the front has an LED screen that displays the time. The Station’s total power is 10 watts.
You can always rely on the Mini Station to ask Yasmina for useful information for work or study, play your favourite song, or activate a Wi-Fi-enabled smart home device.
Midi Station is the second new product from Yango, designed for larger spaces. This Station is significantly bigger than the compact Mini, with edges around 10 cm tall. It has a cubic shape, fabric covering on all sides, touch buttons, and contour lighting. An LED screen on the front displays the time, and the total power of the Station is 24 watts.
In addition to Wi-Fi, the Midi Station supports Zigbee, allowing you to connect Zigbee-enabled smart home devices and control them by voice through Yasmina or via the app.
